Although, like Osborne and his rating agencies, net migration was Cameron's own incompetence-proving choice of ground, there has only been an increase in net migration because fewer people are leaving this country.

And there are only fewer people leaving this country because they are now so poor that they cannot afford the fares to anywhere else.

Of the people who are migrating here, notice that they are not from Romania (the fastest-growing economy in the EU) or from Bulgaria.

We told that they were not coming.

Why would they? The people who are are already here are only still here because they cannot afford to leave.

Well, that and because they know that this Government now has barely a year left to run, so they have decided to tough it out.
