Ruler of The Minds of All People?

Of the five richest men in the world this year, two are Indian, as many as are American.

India has a huge diaspora in this country, still teaches English the British way and English Literature the old-fashioned way (which is why people there love it), is a Common Law jurisdiction, uses First Past The Post to elect a Parliament strikingly like Westminster, and enjoys our backing more than anyone else's in her pursuit of such things as a UN Security Council seat.

But India is also the land of rising Hindutva, most obviously manifest to the rest of us as the ostensibly silly renaming of cities to things that, as much as anything else, their own inhabitants do not call them.

Think on.
