North Atlantic Treaty, South Atlantic Threat

For the second time in 30 years, inhabited British territory stands on the brink of invasion by a foreign power.

"Our" nuclear "deterrent", whose real owner we have to pay for the privilege of hosting it, deterred no one then and is deterring no one now.

Likewise, the NATO Charter, formally pursuant to which we are embarked on the never-ending misadventure in Afghanistan, offered us precisely no defence then, and offers us precisely no defence now.

Away with the pair of them.
