I am delighted that the dear old University of Durham has a Memorandum of Understanding with Iran, under which it is cultivating links to that thriving democracy with more women than men at university, with the most acclaimed contemporary cinema in the world, with a reserved seat for a Jew and three for Christians (two for Armenians and one for an Assyrian) in Parliament, and with so much else besides.
I am only sorry that money has also been accepted from Saudi Arabia, which funds the Bushes and the Clintons. Nuff said.
