Auntie's Revenge
A relatively sympathetic drama about Mary Whitehouse somehow slipped through the net, to huge ratings and acclaim. So this evening's EastEnders was staggeringly potty-mouthed for something broadcast at 7:30pm and in which even gangsters normally say things like "a face like a spanked bottom". Was this a one-off, or will the BBC be avenging itself further against the Whitehouse-loving general public, and indeed the Whitehouse-loving critics?
