Witness of Truth

Prince Harry and Piers Morgan are going to bring each other down, and in many ways they both deserve it.

But Morgan was one of very, very, very few journalists to see through the Iraq War from the start.

The level of personal abuse to which he has since been subjected has fundamentally been because of that.

As for people who are so obviously crooked that their own side will not call them as witnesses, watch this space.

    1. Not as an editorial line, I don't think. But it will be once it is owned by Harry 'n' Meghan.

  2. Morgan I think has changed his mind about Israel. But I think he still supports Ukraine. Those who attack Tucker in the Western media for going soft on Putin are exactly the same people who give Zelenskyy a tongue bath during every interview

    1. I am not convinced that he did go all that soft on Putin.

  3. “exactly the same people who give Zelenskyy a tongue bath during every interview”

The difference is Zelensky hasn’t violently invaded his neighbouring country-Putin has. Putin’s fanboy (sorry, interviewer”) never asked him about documented Russian atrocities such as the mass rape and massacres in Bucha. He never asked why every one of his political opponents has been murdered, poisoned with Novichok, jailed or banned from standing, with the most recent being Nadazhdin. He was never asked about Putin’s secret Black Sea palace exposed by Alexei Navalny, funded by bribes from shady oligarchs and companies such as Transneft.

If only he’d had a proper interviewer.

    1. Like whom? You mean people who conveniently refuse "on principle" to ask.

The best hope for that situation is for a right-wing Republican to win the US Presidency. Every GOP candidate this year is a sceptic of funding for Ukraine, bar Haley (and she hasn't got a chance in hell of winning the nomination) with the Republicans in Congress also still refusing to approve Biden's aid to Ukraine if he won't crack down on immigration. The Democrats-liberal internationalists who spend billions defending Ukraine's borders while opening America's borders to the whole of the third world-are on the run.

    1. The Republicans support only the wars that are waged by Republican Presidents, even if that requires a change of sides halfway though. The Democrats just support them, like the British Tories and right-wing Labourites who would all be Democrats in the United States.

Andrew Neil would be good. It’s not true they refuse-the BBC, Sky, Fox, CNN and all the others have had many requests rebuffed. Having long ago shut down his domestic independent media, Putin has never had a critical interview.

    1. Their line over this has been that it was wrong in principle for Carlson to interview Putin.
