Let The New City Have Citizens

When MPs were murdered in Northern Ireland, were the by-elections uncontested? Then nor should Batley and Spen have been after the murder of Jo Cox. And nor should Southend West be after the murder of Sir David Amess.

Some committee of a political party, it is beside the point which one, is about to appoint an MP for life at Southend West, where the majorities in the last 10 years have been 14,459 in 2019, 10,000 on the nose even in 2017, and 14,021 in 2015. There should at least be a proper by-election by means of confirmation.
