Over, and over, and over again, Rishi Sunak talked about "taxpayers' money", all the while announcing policies that depended on his perfectly correct understanding that there was in fact no such thing.
All that, and Tory Boy boilerplate about the Red Ensign and what have you. In both categories is Richard Holden's cut in the duty on draught beer, a very welcome move and a hugely popular one. Sunak wants to be Prime Minister even more than Gordon Brown did.
And would there have been a real terms increase for every Department under Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves? That question answers itself. Any remaining Thatcherites should vote Labour.
Listen to the gushing over Reeves, she could have read out a telephone directory and they would have praised it to the skies.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been Starmer himself if he could have been there, so at least we have been spared that. Dinners would have been brought up if we had had to listen to that level of fangirliness.
