It has been confirmed to me that several Jews were indeed involved in organising the recent commemoration of the Battle of Cable Street.
But they did not include the Board of Deputies, the Jewish Leadership Council, the Community Security Trust, the Campaign Against Antisemitism, or any of that crowd.
Why the surprise, if any? 85 years ago, the Board of Deputies told Jews to stay away from Cable Street and just let the Blackshirts pass.
There are now Israeli flags at all Far Right events.
ReplyDeleteSo we know what it would be to criticise them, don't we?
