Something In The Air

Crawley is a Labour target seat. The current Conservative MP, Henry Smith, is a good friend of the Chagossians. But so is Jeremy Corbyn.

Might Corbyn impose a three-line whip for Gatwick over Heathrow? To provide London with its undeniably necessary expansion in airport capacity, Gatwick would be far better than a third runway at Heathrow.

And the extra distance to the centre of London would be nothing to people from anywhere else in the world. Americans, say. Or Chinese.
