If Sajid Javid wants to take on the right-wing Labour municipal machines and their cosy relationships with property developers, then good luck to him. He will have to put in someone at local level. We need to stand ready.
We need to bypass those machines in education, and cut our own deals. We need to bypass the Liberal Establishment in academia and in the media, and cut our own deals. And we need to do the same thing in housing.
