It's 1939 Again

Hitler has made it to Moscow after it all, it seems. The official enemy has been "The Worst Since Hitler" ever since it stopped being based in the city where it has now ended up, anyway.

Figures as piffling as General Noriega of Panama have been so described, as have our erstwhile allies and clients such as the "Taliban", Saddam Hussein, Colonel Gaddafi, and now Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, we must never, ever speak our own craven status as a client state of one of only two regimes in the world today to bear genuine comparison with Nazi Germany, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Boris Johnson's jaw-dropping attempt to put Russia, of all places, in that category has significantly endangered the English national football team and its supporters when they attend the World Cup. What does he have to do in order to be sacked?
