Four Thought

Labour has a formal policy of opposing the privatisation of Channel 4, but it is not exactly making much of a fuss about it.

After all, the thing was set up by Margaret Thatcher.

Who knows who might buy it? Assuming that the public service remit remained in place, then none of the scare story bidders would be interested.

Privatised British assets generally end up in the hands of foreign states. The present Labour Leadership has no shortage of ties to foreign states.

Moreover, they are the ones to which the Government, whether or not it will quite say the words, has now chosen to ally against Daesh.

Watch this space, indeed.
