A Healthy Union

It is a pity, and indeed a shame, that the SNP has done nothing about English NHS privatisation in this Parliament.

But of course it would vote against the intensification of that scandalously underreported process in the next Parliament.

While the Barnett Formula endures, there are no "English-only issues" beyond the very narrowly ecclesiastical. None. They simply do not exist.

Indeed, I am almost tempted to advocate the introduction of "English Votes for English Laws".

That would be a judgement call for the Speaker on each occasion, and it would be worth hearing that judgement each and every time.

It would never vary. Never, ever.
