There is a Republican majority in the Senate, and while neoconservatives may hate Donald Trump's guts, they still have Republican primary electorates to answer to, while he has in any case bought them off by taking out General Soleimani.
So he is going to win. What is the point of any of this? What is the Democratic Party for? Could it not think of any legislation to pass, that it had to take up Congressional time with this instead?
Trump is going to be reelected. The Democrats are going to have been beaten by him twice. Twice. By Trump. But they still won't learn. Since they are likely to keep control of the House, although heaven alone knows why, then they are going to attempt to impeach him again during his second term.
