Take Back Control

Rich Goldberg sounded like an ill-honed spoof on the Today programme. But then, on that, who doesn't?

There are real signs that Boris Johnson finds politically opportune the idea of a Britain both free to pursue its own economic policy without interference from a Brussels that is backed up and goaded on by Washington, and free to pursue its own foreign policy without interference from a Washington that is backed up and goaded on by Brussels.

Like Jeremy Corbyn, in fact, as we shall be hearing again once Corbyn has been set free. Except, of course, that Corbyn really believes it. But unlike any candidate for Leader of the Labour Party. And unlike key elements of Johnson's own party.

I will be standing for Parliament again here at North West Durham next time, so please give generously. In any event, please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
