Upon This Rock

I shall be voting for the Brexit Party, but it is an unstable coalition that ought not to contest anything other than this year's European Elections.

Of course it would be fun to see Fiona Onasanya returned at Peterborough. It would be interesting to see the latest incarnation of the SDP make a breakthrough there. I have heard good things about the Labour candidate. But come on. It has to be George Galloway. It just has to be. Already, he is who everyone is talking about. Well, of course he is. He's George Galloway.

George could have written almost, if almost, every word of this, and indeed of the longer pamphlet into which it is being expanded for publication. He has never formally resigned as one of my Campaign Patrons, and he presumably has no expectation that Laura Pidcock is going to nip down the East Coast Main Line to campaign for him. Whereas if I can, then I will.

Beyond that, another hung Parliament is coming, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post. I will stand for this seat, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
