No Monkeys Here

Of far greater import than Tony Blair are the defections of four Hartlepool Borough Councillors, including a former Leader of the Council, to the Socialist Labour Party of Arthur Scargill. Labour had already lost control of the Council.

The SLP, like the Morning Star and the rest of that crowd, is advocating a boycott of the European Elections. I understand why, but I still think that it is a mistake. Someone is going to win. The only votes worth casting this time are for the Brexit Party or for the Liberal Democrats. We Leavers know what we have to do. As, I expect, do Remainers.

Beyond that, another hung Parliament is coming, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post. I will stand for this seat, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
