It has been four weeks after the jury in my trial, the third attempt at such, was discharged because the evidence simply did not exist. So why have the baseless charges against me not been dropped? For what could the Crown Prosecution Service possibly be waiting?
For the Annual General Meeting of Durham County Council, that's what. If the charges against me were dropped before that, then Simon Henig's position as Leader would be untenable.
For all sorts of reasons, no one really wants him. He stole the job in the first place, anyway. Three of the five people from whom he stole it are still on the Council, and only one of those is the Deputy Leader. Then again, one of those is the Deputy Leader.

Over to the Labour Group on Durham County Council. Show some self-respect, and get rid of Simon Henig. Show some compassion, and by doing so, force his mates in the CPS to drop the charges against me.
They cannot possibly intend to attempt another trial. They are just keeping me charged forever, to protect Henig. And what has he ever done for you?
