The Trump Administration is trying to provoke an incident in the Strait of Hormuz such that, even if there were no American casualties, it could invoke the NATO Charter against Iran.
And so it would begin, with the British participation cheered on by almost all Conservative MPs, by most Labour ones, by most or all Lib Dems, probably by the SNP, almost certainly by the DUP, and fanatically by Change UK.
Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it.
It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post.
