The Brexit deal is atrocious, but it is not unpopular, at least not in Toryland. It is supported by the CBI, by the Daily Mail, and by the clear majority of Conservative MPs.
The 48 do not exist, and the ERG is therefore a busted flush. The Conservative Right is now as peripheral as it was under Ted Heath. The Conservative Right is now as peripheral as the Labour Right now is.
