Give tenants a minimum three year contract, but allow them to walk away earlier if they wish. Say the Tories.
It is not enough in itself, of course. But then, nor is Labour's housing policy, negotiated as it has had to be with various interests within what is still an Opposition party.
Today's announcement, by the Government, is, however, the latest in a long line of examples of the power of the sheer presence of Jeremy Corbyn. He needs to hold a clearly terrified Conservative Party to it.
