Talking The Talk

The filibuster is a legitimate device. It is within the rules for a reason. But you would only ever use it if you thought that you were going to lose. Does this mean that there would be a Commons majority for votes at 16? Certainly, that would empower the younger paleoconservative and libertarian tendencies, who, although relatively few in number, would be highly likely to vote. Perhaps the New Old Right has seen its chance? But are there really all that many members of that in the House of Commons?
