Britain First, Indeed

A State Visit by Donald Trump would now galvanise an entire generation, changing Britain in ways too numerous to list, over the next 50 years and more.

Provided that the demonstrations were organised and headlined by opponents of other unsavoury State Visitors such as successive Kings of Saudi Arabia, and by opponents of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama who would have opposed Hillary Clinton just as vigorously.

And provided that those organisers and headliners were just as robust, both against the leading members of the present governing party who had deep roots in the 1980s subculture that also produced Thomas Mair, and against the White Helmets who were funded by the Jo Cox Foundation.

  1. He's pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement, reinstated Ronald Reagan's 'Mexico City' policy of defunding overseas abortions, pledged to defund Planned Parenthood in all his draft healthcare bills

Illegal immigration is down 40% since Trump's election. The refugee ban has come into effect and preparations for a border wall are underway, against fierce left-wing opposition.

He's done what people elected him to do, so far.

    1. No, he hasn't. They elected him, people like my occasional employer Daniel McCarthy even endorsed him, in order to stand up to neoliberal economic and neoconservative foreign policy interests. He hasn't. Nor will he. Those interests in his own party hate him enough to deny him the nomination next time, but that is just a tribal dislike of him. It has nothing to do with policy.
