I shall miss Dirty Betty Truss, the soon to be sacked Lord Chancellor.
She was the first overt republican to hold the office, due to the present Government's being the first Conservative Government with an overall majority since Thatcher's Children attained political maturity.
But that is little more than an aside.
Most people regard the fact that Boris Johnson is the Foreign Secretary as the most ridiculous thing about the present Cabinet.
Yet it is nothing compared to the presence of Truss.
I have never quite been able to believe that Truss was older than I was.
She sounds like one of those tiresome fresher girls who think that because Daddy has given them the incomes of thirtysomething professionals, then they are somehow entitled to behave as if they were.
