Nothing Extraordinary

Of course we assisted in the doing down of Libyan dissidents by our dear ally in "The War Against Terror", which ought to be known by its acronym according my erstwhile housemate who is now Head of Research for the Labour Party.

He (Colonel Gaddafi, not Tom Hamilton) had also been one of the two main backers of the side to which we had eventually surrendered in Northern Ireland. We have a long history of passing on every nugget of our intelligence to the other one, when we do not merely rely on it to throw us the tiniest scrap from time to time.

But we have since gone on to overthrow Gaddafi, and to install in his place those whom we had so recently been handing over to him. They will be coming after us in due course. We shall have only ourselves to blame. Specifically, we shall have Tony Blair and David Cameron to blame.
