Hooray! Hooray!

We've lost £19 billion today!

Or, top put it another way, £19 billion may sound a lot compared with the contents of your bank account or mine, but it is only what we lose by taking one day off, so stop worrying.

And even that would not happen if we reverted to an economy based on the growing, raising, making, building and mining of things that really exist. It does not happen in countries like that.

With public holidays marking things of real importance rather than the mere fact that the banks are closed for the day, and which would therefore be enjoyed, as in proper countries, by everyone instead of by the middle and upper classes alone.
