More Central, Indeed

Lord Adonis is on the right lines. Yes, you read aright. But Salford Quays is still far too far south, as well as being too far west.

The geographical centre of Britain is at Haltwhistle, which after the boundary changes will be in the constituency of which the largest town will be Consett.

Consett will also be quite central within the constituency. But even more so will be Lanchester.

Therefore, let the House of Lords be moved, possibly to Consett, but ideally to Lanchester.

At the very least, we might then get back our evening bus services on weekdays.
