Let Sunshine Win The Day

Yes, the Labour manifesto cover does look like this Conservative Party poster from 1929. But look at what each of the rays does not promise, but rather records as having been delivered by the then Tory Government:

Peace Abroad
Reduced Cost of Living
Widows’ Pensions
Improved Education
Equal Franchise
Old Age Pensions
Orphans’ Pensions
Rating Reform
800,000 Houses
Pure Food & Milk

True or false (as it happened, true), these were the things for which the Tories actively wanted to be known. But from first to last, by far the longest Labour Government ever has delivered the exact opposite, either of any meaningful equivalent, or of the very same thing. And today's Tories, if they were going to change anything at all, would make each and every one of these baleful situations even worse.
