1940 And All That

Ah, the Katyn Massacre. Remind me again on which side the Soviet Union entered the War. Remind me again to whom "The Greatest Briton" allied us when the side-swapping occurred. And remind me again which country he handed over, with significantly altered borders, to that decidedly late-coming ally, despite our having embarked on the War at all specifically in order to protect both the freedom and the borders of that very country.

  1. Remind me again which country invaded the USSR from the West when the latter was at its weakest and annexed territory of little-to-no ethnic relevance. Remind me again which country massacred Soviet POWs in that time (more than died at Katyn). Remind me again which country barks vainly about having lost the same territory back.

The Poles fared a hundred times worse under Hitler than Soviet satelliteship but it has taken little time for at least their young and educated to want to go right back under German dominance and stare down their noses at Russians. It is entirely understandable why Stalin wanted to keep Soviet troops there.

All the same, this is a very sad day for Poland. Kaczynski was a relatively good president and preferable to the current liberal government. The Euro-elites will need a new enemy-in-chief.
