"Tax Freedom Day"

Today, apparently.

"When you stop working for the Government and start working for yourself."

What an extraordinary notion, put about, I bet, by people so rich that their own tax payments are negligible, if they make any at all.

Simply because the NHS, state education, public transport, social housing, and even the criminal justice system (since they are extremely unlikely to be victims of crime) are of no conceivable interest to them, does not mean that they are of no conceivable interest to normal people.

And do they really regard the Armed Forces in that way? I think we should be told.
