A Matter Of Record

With abortion back on the political agenda (not for long, I expect - but that's another story), the lazy "paedophile priests" shriekers are out in force on the likes of Comment Is Free. Well, in addition to everything set out below on that score, they should consider that it is now a matter of record that access to ordination in many American and other dioceses has long been controlled by a network of radical feminist nuns and ex-nuns, who, as an integral part of the lobby already described, and hating both male persons and children as feminists used to do (and a few still do), merrily sacrificed boys by packing seminaries with those who had a sexual interest in them, so that, a generation or more later, the inevitable consequences could be used to "prove" their own point about the need to abandon, not only the purely disciplinary practice of normative (never universal) priestly celibacy, but also the actually non-negotiable doctrinal principle of the indispensable maleness of ordination. As I say, this is now a matter of record.
