To Talk About The Positives

I guarantee that Jimmy Carr is a member of the Labour Party. He has it written all over him. No one else wants to be its candidate here at North West Durham, so I look forward to his third place or below behind Richard Holden and me, in either order.

Spare me your cant about Carr if you are not in the field against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. That includes the Labour Party, which whipped its Peers to keep the anti-GRT clauses in a Bill that has in many other ways been well and truly mauled in the House of Lords. Again I say that Carr is Labour's embodiment. He and his howling audience are the only electorate that it retains or wants.

Bernard Manning never told a joke about the Holocaust, and Royston Vasey should sue anyone who insinuated that, even in character as Roy Chubby Brown, he had ever done so. But no one should care what Rachel Riley did or did not say or do. I did not care, and nor should you have done, what a game show hostess, a mere glamorous assistant, a glorified lap dancer, thought of Jeremy Corbyn. I do not care,  and nor should you, what a game show hostess, a mere glamorous assistant, a glorified lap dancer, thinks of Jimmy Carr.

    1. In his dreams. This is the crowd that he wishes he were in.

How many people, New Labour types the lot of them, will have been involved in writing, editing and producing this show? Yet this line still made it through. Or, rather, therefore this line made it through.
