And remember, although the Church of England is an arm of the State, it is no more the vicar's job to police immigration and asylum than it is the doctor's or the teacher's.
"At Liverpool Cathedral, a person can become a Christian in as little as five weeks, after completing a basic course," decries the front page of the Daily Telegraph. Ponder that the next time that it sets itself up as an arbiter of orthodoxy, or even of basic theological literacy.
Converts from Islam to Christianity are now under threat from both sides.
