Whiny Liberal Establishment hopefuls must have thought that Tony Blair or David Cameron was still the Prime Minister, or that Keir Starmer had become so merely at their insistence.

But the days when their violently extremist position was treated as moderate, sensible and "centrist", so that only the members of their social circle were considered eligible for anything, are long gone.
