And so begins the nightmare Biden Presidency of neoliberal economic policy, of a corporate-sponsored and State-enforced identitarian social policy that somehow always leaves the white bourgeoisie in charge, of anti-industrial Malthusianism, and of the neoconservative propagation of all of those things by the utterly unrestrained use of armed force. Each of those aspects is of course dependent on the others in ways too numerous to list. In Britain, this swirling cauldron of poison is called "the centre ground".
We all knew the imperfections of Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders, of Dominic Cummings and Donald Trump. But we grabbed the only available opportunities for economic equality and international peace, for economic populism and foreign policy restraint, for the Red Wall and the Rust Belt, for democratic control in general and national sovereignty in particular.
So the fight goes on, to uphold family and community values by securing economic equality and international peace through the democratic political control of the means to those ends, including national and parliamentary sovereignty. As well as setting up in 2021 the think tank and the magazine that would have been set up in 2020 if it had not been for Covid-19, I am the Independent parliamentary candidate for North West Durham, also possibly next year. What are you doing?
