They broke up last week, the schools attended by Cabinet Ministers and their children, by Keir Starmer and Ed Davey. It is other people who must remain in the plague pits throughout what has never exactly been the academic highlight of the year.

Yet the Conservatives apparently imagined that Covid-19 was going to take such a break.
