60 years ago today, on 22nd September 1960, President Eisenhower delivered a speech to the United Nations General Assembly.
In it, he proposed that the principles of the Antarctic Treaty be extended to Outer Space.
Space is being both privatised and militarised, so there has never been a more important time to return to that American, Republican vision.
