If Amy Coney Barrett did anything at all for pro-life, then she would be the first one of them who ever had. That is not really why they are picked.
Being pro-abortion is not really why Democratic nominees are picked, either. Check the nominees of the two parties against the issues on which anything ever actually changed, and see if you can spot the difference. Then check who funds both parties.
Outside such gilded circles, both sides are conning their respective supporters. The difference is that the pro-abortion side has the advantage of possession. Its position is already the law. And it will remain so. There is absolutely no empirical basis for expecting anything else.
