Mr Dawkins Goes To Dublin?

Or not.

I am still laughing that the Auditor of The Hist, Bríd O'Donnell, had never heard of Richard Dawkins, and that even after she had read his Wikipedia entry, she still referred to him as "Mr Dawkins".

The Priest-King of Baby Boomer, pub bore atheism is unknown to someone who is presumably in her early twenties. Even in the country where Baby Boomer, pub bore atheism has been the only culturally or politically acceptable opinion for longer than she has been alive.

Or perhaps especially there. "Catholic Ireland", insofar as there ever really was such a place, is now so remote that the young no longer even feel the need to define themselves against it. Ageing or aged battlers against it need to take note.
