"Go And Join The Tories"

Oh, how they used to react to that one during the early Corbyn years. But let us now recite the names: John Woodcock, Ian Austin, Ivan Lewis, Joan Ryan.

Meanwhile, the Brexit Party lot were always going to go home eventually, even if most of us had expected them to get the General Election out of the way first. The Brexit Party gave in when it stood down its candidates in every seat that the Conservative Party had won last time. If you want Boris Johnson as Prime Minister, then simply vote Conservative. If you want Boris Johnson as Prime Minister, then no doubt you will.

But the narrowing polls show that Labour's message is cutting through: reducing rail fares by a third, compensating the WASPI women (for which the Government will have made full contingency plans in case it had lost their court case), and Johnson's intention to sell the NHS to the American healthcare companies and to Donald Trump, which crystallises every doubt that floating voters have had about the Conservative Party since 1948.

Alas, though, most Labour MPs are going to be thoroughly unsound on all three issues, and very much akin to Woodcock, Austin, Lewis and Ryan. Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. I am standing for Parliament here at North West Durham. The crowdfunding page is here, and buy the book here. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
