Democratically Controlled

Poor Boris Johnson probably thought that he would have a good day with the story about whether EU nationals would vote in a second EU referendum.

But not even Guido Fawkes has covered it, because these days it is news that the Prime Minister did not say something jaw-droppingly racist such as, "I'm in favour of having people of colour come to this country, but I think we should have it democratically controlled."

Notice that nobody seems to have found it remotely implausible that he might have said that, in public, at a General Election rally, in front of all manner of recording devices. This is the man who not only holds the office of Prime Minister, but whom at least two other candidates here at North West Durham wish to keep in that office.
