Forget Iran. Forget North Korea. The biggest global security threat of the moment has just been created by Narendra Modi in Kashmir.
Self-determination is not an absolute principle. There can often be other factors to take into consideration. But it is the only solution in Kashmir.
Moreover, there can be no solution there without both Russia, which is still very close to India, and China, which could not be closer to Pakistan.
Those who would instead alienate one or both of Russia and China by "standing up to" them over this or that, like a 13-year-old boy "standing up to" to a policeman, are prepared to sacrifice the close relatives of hundreds of thousands of British citizens.
Sacrifice them, quite possibly, to a nuclear holocaust.
