Recalling the Schoolkids' Edition of Oz, this evening sees the Schoolkids' Edition of Question Time.
I agree
with those complaining that Nigel Farage will tonight have made more
Question Time appearances than anyone else since 2009, and that he leads
a party with no elected representation at any level in Scotland, where
it is being held.
But George Galloway is also on, and he leads a party
which literally does not exist in Scotland. It does not contest
elections there, and you quite possibly cannot join it from a Scottish
address.
Even if you could, Anas Sarwar would not be enough to persuade Labour voters to switch to it. Ruth Davidson might very well be enough to persuade Conservative voters to switch to UKIP. Its eyeing up of that Tory European seat in Scotland might not be wishful thinking after all.
