Not Helpful

Thus has Liz "Elizabeth" Truss just described Left-Right classification, on The Westminster Hour.

The very serious broader debate about that can wait for another day. It is undeniably unhelpful in the extreme that the figure brought onto the airwaves to defend the Government's supposedly conservative principles and policies wants to abolish both the institution of marriage and the institution of the monarchy. But then, if Liam Fox's treasonable approach to foreign relations is somehow traditionally Tory, then why ever not?

Listening to Betty Truss is not at all like listening to a woman in her thirties. It is like listening to a certain type of tiresome fresher girl who, mostly because Daddy has furnished her with an income comparable to a professional salary, imagines that she is that age and expects to be treated accordingly. Are all the new Conservative women like that?
