"America's Ally In The Region"

There is more than one. It could not be clearer tonight who one of them is. And who one of them isn't, really. Israel has been claiming for years that Iran posed a nuclear threat to her. There has been no talk from anyone serious of an American strike against Iran.

But a plot to assassinate a Saudi ambassador? Now, that is a whole other story. Indeed, Hillary Clinton, while a candidate and indeed a candidate with significant backing from the Israel Lobby, nevertheless promised to nuke Iran if so instructed, not by Israel, but by Kuwait. Or the United Arab Emirates. Or ... oh, there was another one. That's right. Saudi Arabia.

I was rather amused this evening to see the outrage of America's Justice Dept. over the terror plot to murder the Saudi ambassador. The Attorney General complained about the flagrant violation of US and international law. The US attorney in Manhattan said that they would "not let other countries use our soil as their batleground."

I have no sympathy for the man but was not Bin Laden killed by the USA govt. without judge and jury, in flagrant violation of international law? And, likewise, the other fellow in Somalia just recently (I cannot remember his name) who was killed without trial on the orders of the President of the USA himself?
And if the USA will not allow other countries to use the USA as their battlegrounds then why is it OK for the USA to use every other part of the world as THEIR battlegrounds?
Sauce, goose, and gander, come to mind. Or should it be pot, kettle, and black? Or, perhaps glass houses and stones? Or, NIMBY? Or perhaps,..........

  2. Fucking Hillary Clinton, taking Gulf money that should be going to men in James Bond costumes on the books of Durham University but with no identifiable duties and protected from the contact of ordinary mortals. Who does she think she is?

The Mind Boggles, quite so. Although even worthier of consideration is that Anwar Al-Awlaki, killed on Obama's personal instructions, was an American citizen.

Quite apart from the fact that he had been a post-9/11 guest at the Penatagon, and that he was no more the leader of anything than Justin Bieber is, he was an American citizen.
