I agree. Anybody who thinks the world is overpopulated needs to visit the western United States. Driving through the huge state of Wyoming, you will likely see more cows than people.
I saw the miserable Paxman grilling someone about this the other night and he was at his most imperious and sneering best in looking down his nose at one guest who was trying to make a reasonable point. Just out of curiosity I did a quick calculation. Now maths was never my best subject so I am open to correction but I found out that the land mass (just the land mass - not the total area of the country) of the Netherlands is about 32 billion square metres. Therefore, if the seven million population of the world was gathered together they would all fit comfortably into the Netherlands and have more than four square metres of leg room each. Hardly a case of world overpopulation I would say. I will leave it to the mathematicians to check this out. One has to ask - who is peddling these scare stories, and why?
The pro-life, pro-family, pro-worker and anti-war voice of an economically social democratic, morally and socially conservative patriotism towards the North of England, the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and Christendom. One Nation politics, with an equal emphasis on the One and on the Nation. Conservationist, not environmentalist. Far too conservative to be capitalist, far too left-wing to be liberal.

Apologies, seven million, should, of course, read seven billion.
