Right Honourable, Indeed
First elected in 1959, and Father of the House despite having had a brief break (1964-1966) when he had lost his seat because even that was so long ago, Sir Peter Tapsell has just been appointed to the Privy Council. Quite right, too. For he is a Keynesian, an anti-neoconservative, a Commonwealth enthusiast, and therefore an unyielding Eurosceptic.
