We Have Been Here Before

"You can't possibly want to save British Rail, can you? Anything would be better than that, ha ha ha." To which the answer should have been, "How would you know? You have never used public transport in your lives."

But they are back, still imagining that absolutely anybody could run a library or even set up a school. But now minded to put that dementia into practice. And now scoffing that, "You can't possibly want to save the Royal Mail or the Forestry Commission, can you? Anything would be better than that, ha ha ha."

  1. Can't stand these people. They are taking public assets and trying to sell them back to the public. It's daylight robbery and it's ridiculous. Once privatised it's very difficult to reclaim national assets and industries without taking drastic Chavez-esque steps. It's bad enough that they've sold off the water and energy of this country to private companies but now they're selling off the forests and effectively the public health service.

  2. I couldn't agree more.

It is staggering that people were conned into buying what they already owned, and it will be even more so if they are a second time. Thankfully, that seems less and less likely to happen.
