But then, why Moldova? (Although note the "pro-Russian hardliners", without any characterisation of non-Russian ultranationalists from Moldova and Romania, who favoured attacking the disputed territory in question.)
Moldavia should go home to Romania, while Transnistria could become a state nominally independent but effectively, and very happily, dependent on Russia. Who would mind? Who would even notice? Whose life would be affected much, if at all?
